As Rafa Nadel was being hailed as the new “King of SW19”, the Spaceworks Events Team was already hard at work commencing clearance of some of the numerous hospitality areas that were on show during Wimbledon fortnight. With Spaceworks used extensively throughout the tournament, the logistics of installing and removal of hire furniture before, during and post this event is real challenge. However, with our “can do” attitude, superb team ethic and bags of hard work and dedication you come to expect from Spaceworks, a highly successful event was completed.




The third of four new vehicles has now been delivered to Spaceworks’ Godstone depot. This is the smallest of the new vehicles at 7.5Tonne bought to deliver to sites with restriced access.

With over 8000 chairs and 4000 trestle tables installed to a highly detailed plan and extremely tight schedule, Spaceworks once again ensured the recent CFA Exam, that took place at ExCel was delivered perfectly.
Soon after Top seed Rafael Nadal continued his amazing streak by defeating Novak Djokovic to capture the first grass court title of his career at The Artois Championships, the onsite events team from Spaceworks were already beginning to clear the furniture that had been hired. With numerous ranges of new furniture on display at Queens Club, Spaceworks ensured the highest level of quality was on show throughout the week long tournament.




Spaceworks received the second of four new vehicles for 2008 on Friday. The 18Tonne Daf is fitted with the new Euro5 engine which has the benifit of advanded technologies that boosts performance and economy.

Employee of the month was announced by Spaceworks MD Iain Booth during this months Company meeting on 11th June and was won by Simon Baldwin for the month of May. Simon has been highly commended at recent events by both Clients and internal Management and has taken an active role in ensuring Spaceworks success. Events that Simon has been instrumental in during May are RSVP, FPS, Mayoral Elections, Badminton and MDM Porsche. Congratulations Simon!!!
Simon is currently heavily involved in the Artois Championships at The Queen’s Club.

On Saturday 7th June 2008, as second favourite, New Approach was winning The Vodafone Derby, numerous race goers were enjoying the sunshine and a vast array of hospitality on offer at Epsom Racecourse.
Spaceworks was once again instrumental in supplying furniture, of the highest quality and specification, to the racecourse and corporate areas for the two day meeting.


At Wentworth, Miguel Angel Jiménez won the BMW PGA Championship with a birdie on the second hole of sudden-death to deny England’s Oliver Wilson his maiden title.
As the crowds went home thrilled after another nail biting finish, the Spaceworks Events Team was already hard at work clearing the site of furniture in readiness for the busy summer events programme.
