Spaceworks acquires JHS assets
Spaceworks Furniture Hire is pleased to announce it has acquired the entire hire and equipment fleet-stock of Johnson Hospitality Services. In addition, the Bristol depot of JHS will run as a branch of Spaceworks and former JHS subsidiary Well Dressed Tables has been incorporated under the Spaceworks umbrella.
The news follows Spaceworks’ recent investment programme, which saw a new holding company formed to introduce new expertise and equity. The shareholders of the holding company are Paul Turney (managing director), Iain Booth (operations director), Simon Durrell (sales director), Greg Lawless, Dermot Divilly and Joe Barrett. Lawless and Divilly have also been welcomed on to the Spaceworks board as non-executive directors.
“JHS held the largest stock of banqueting furniture, crockery, cutlery and glassware in the UK and possibly Europe,” said managing director Paul Turney. “We will continue to offer their entire product range.”
The Spaceworks service and vast range of furniture hire products is now available from London, Bristol and Dublin.
“Taking on the Bristol depot, means Spaceworks full range will be available at competitive rates throughout South West England. It will enhance our ability to provide top quality service and product ranges backed by our customer charter to new and existing clients in that area.”
New Spaceworks subsidiary Well Dressed Tables will continue to operate from its Vauxhall depot. It will work alongside Spaceworks to offer an integrated top class offering. Paul Turney, Divilly, Barrett and Lawless will join WDT managing director Chris Piggott on the board.
“Well Dressed Tables is renowned for providing top of the range designer style table top items backed up by an excellent service supported by a well experienced team from a catering background,” said Turney. “The link between the two companies will provide an excellent benefit to both businesses and greatly increase range to customer bases.”
