On Wednesday 30th July, Spaceworks was delighted to enter a team and supply the outdoor furniture for the event industry’s summer big summer day out and fund raiser – Sticky Wicket 2008. Apart from Sticky Wicket offering a perfect opportunity for companies to take their staff on a day out to enjoy the cricket, networking and sunshine in Regents Park, the prime aim of the day is to raise funds for The Lord’s Taverners charity. This year over £20,000 was raised. With eight industry companies competing, the Spaceworks team, captained by Senior Events Manager, Stuart Barnett, were victorious and were crowned 2008 winners after an extremely close match against CMPi in the prestigious final. With a host of sporting stars and celebrities representing The Lord’s Taverners, actor Colin Salmon was on hand to present the winners trophy to the elated Spaceworks team.
