Spaceworks have ordered four new vehicles to meet the demands of the busy summer season. The first of these, a 38 tonne tractor unit, has just arrived.

The tractor unit is powered by the new Euro 5 engine, this has the benifits of advanced technologies that boosts output, performance and economy. The engine also uses AdBlue, which is a new technology that reduced emissions from the exhausts of diesel vehicles.

Spaceworks have launched a prototype of a new Eco Chair. The chair was on display in the green room at this years RSVP exhibition, held at the Business Design Centre in Islington.

As well as being made completly out of sustainable wood, the chair is designed to be transported flat-packed. This means that we fit more onto each lorry, therefore reducing emissions.

Paul Bailey Agency approached Spaceworks wanting to create an original theme for their event on 5th April in Lincolnshire. After discussing the many different options with sales agent Vicky Hays they decided on our Picasso chairs.

Aswell as offering the Picasso chair in our standard colours we can make up custom covers in any colour or pattern required.

For this event we made up over 100 custom zebra print covers for the Picasso chairs. This once again proves Spaceworks ability to provide exactly what the customer requires.

With the weather making all the early headlines prior to its start, Spaceworks was again at the forefront of supplying furniture to the recent Cheltenham Festival.

As storms battered the numerous marquees and temporary structures, the Spaceworks onsite team, event managed by Alex Rayment and Alex Mimmack, worked round the clock to ensure all furniture was delivered on schedule, of the correct quantity, to precise areas and of course to Spaceworks high specifications. 

This proves once again, Spaceworks ability to deliver the biggest events.

The awards was presented at a gala evening staged at the Royal Bath Hotel in Bournemouth on 4th March 2008. Simon Durrell, Commerical Director of Spaceworks, was there to present Chris with the award.

With installation of over 4,500 silver Classic chairs and 450 banqueting tables, we were proud suppliers of furniture to the BritsDelivery was completed ahead of schedule at 08.30 the day before the event. The next challenge was to ensure all table and chairs were distributed into position over the vast terracing and installed by 18.00 the same day. Mission accomplished!

On the Wednesday night, whilst guests started to depart Earls Court soon after Paul McCartney picked up his Outstanding Contribution to Music Award, the Spaceworks team, managed by Mike Marshall, was already onsite to begin clearing furniture.Work commenced at 23.30 and by 05.00 the following morning all tables and chairs were cleared, loaded onto stillages and moved into position ready for loading and collection that begun at 07.00. We worked for the official caterers, Payne & Gunter, and in conjunction with sister company Well Dressed Tables, the event was yet another example of Spaceworks ability to deliver the biggest events whilst providing the very highest level of customer service and quality of product on a strict schedule.

Spaceworks have launched their new Bionics range this week at the International Confex exhibition at London’s Earls Court. Click on the thumbnails above for a closer look!

The Bionics range is made entirely out of recycled materials, mainly old engine parts and crushed yoghurt pots.
